Are you running the hoses straight up from the canister to the tank or do you have loops or sags in the hoses?

The canister is sitting under the stand so I set the hoses to go straight up behind the tank. It does have a little loop so I'll try to fix the loop if it works also.

if you have trapped air in a already established canister very slowly tile the
canister left to right and front to back doing that will release the trapped air
inside of it and fix the issue you have. make sure your not tilting too much
so water doesn't leak out. after you do this you can pump the primer on the
can a couple times to ensure complete release of any trapped air.
