I was looking for someplace to get some lighting for my saltwater aquarium at a good price, thought I found it when I was looking in an aquarium magazine.Boy was I ever wrong! I purchased a 150 mhl,had it for 4 months and almost burned my house down! (the ballast shorted out and caught onfire)No big deal I'll call and get it replaced, thats where it all goes to hell in a hand basket! See after I got them to answer my email and they agreed to replace it if I paid for the shipping they quit answering their phone, emails and everything. So all I can say is dont go to this web site unless you just want to throw your money away. :swear: :swear: :swear:

thanks for the heads up

Those guys :swear: They were the ones who said they had tanks for $1 a gallon. MY @$$. When I talked to them, they acted like they didn't know how that add got in the magazines for like 6 months in a row.

yeah.. a company that cant change their holiday decorated website 2 months into the new year is not a very reputable company in my book. A friend had a hard time getting them to answer the email questions about some products.

I dont know about the equipment though. I got an Odyssea T5 from an LFS that works great for a cheapy brand. Its the same brand that aquatraders.com sells so I dont know if you just got a bum product.

Thanks for lettin us know...I've never thought of buying off the site, but i DEFINITELY wont in the future.

I saw that ad too...No go?

when it says "*item shown in picture not actual*" on their site you know they cant be good.

Go to www.dyna-brite.com if you need to replace a ballest. I've had to replace a ballest for my cheapo CF fixture, it was under $30 with the shipping. It's pretty easy to do, just take the old ballest out and match it up with a new one. Dyna-Brite has 4 different MH ballest makers to choose from, so look at them all to get the best price.

Oh, and thanks for the warning about Aquatraders! I was going to get a CF light from them to replace my DIY 4 tube shop light job over my 75, good thing you posted this!
