How is this thing used? inline like a uv gen, or just drop in tank. Looks like just one more thing to break.
Looks like a Door Bell to me.. Just another useless aquarium product, designed to be bought by people who don't know any better.
i have one on my tank 110 gallons. its a bunch of crap. they tell you to put it on the return line from the pump. i have had it on for about 1 year now and it doesnt do a damn thang. if you want one for free you have to work for a LFS. i got mine from a friend to try.all in all its a total scam.
Haven't you guys ever gone Electrofishing? I've done it for a Biology class....it works great! I'm sure this thing isn't amped up to that much power though. It pretty much stuns the fish so you can catch them easier. About five minutes or so later they come outa it with out any visible effects from it. I'm sure that zapper thing does work to a certain extent...but it seems like using it repeatedly would over stress the fish and eventually cause more disease....
