Aqueon power filters NOISEY

Recently bought two 55/75 filters LOud as all get out compared to AC 110 , will they quiet down , can they be modded to be quiet or should I just return them and stay w Ac 110s?

Where is the noise coming from? Is there good flow? It's possible you have a bubble stuck in it if it's that bad.

What's your water level? On one that I have it gets really loud as the water evaporates.

I just got a free model 75 from a Buddy and put it into service last week , I really like the flow path and extra room for media but YES-LOUD ,My tanks are in the garage so its not that big of a deal for Me, However it started drivin Me nuts yesterday so I started messin with it...pushed the intake tube up all the way (I have other filters at bottom level so I don't need it all the way down) and jiggled the intake a bit and it did get a lot quieter...The issue with mine seemed to be more vibration then impeller noise,so I also put some 1/2 inch polystyrene ins. between it and the tank back -that helped too. Thanks, the pump just seems louder than the AC 110s ,Water level is to the top, thats not the issue. Thanks
