Does anybody have one of these? I was really considering buying one of these in the upcoming summer and would love to hear if you guys like yours. I already have an AR-15 so im just gonna buy an upper and an extra mag to keep loaded in the house because its a PDW

Love the 5.7×28mm cartridge hate the AR57 platform.. For that matter all made for it so far.

No I dont have it and would never buy it. I like the 5.7 in a pistol or a sbr(though pistol far better platform for it) but can not justify it in a rifle. If you already have a ar in 5.56 then stick with it. 5.7 is just 5.56 light and costs far more.

So would a full power 5.56. Like I said its great in pistol forum. Rifle it becomes pointless.
Reload for it and it can do a hella lot more. Commercial ammo is cut down by a whole lot compared to the Mil-spec load. (several hundred FPS) Five-Seven is also excellent for subsonic / silenced applications. We have been playing with it a bit in a custom benchrest rifle and it is an interesting round. It acts much like a 5.45x39 in action with high initial penetration then it tumbles and yaws all over the place.The 5.7x28mm only pierces soft body armor. What the heck good is that?
I'd disagree.. I think it does have good potential as a rifle cartridge. Particularly in the medium range bolt category.. AR57 however is pretty much useless and pointless. Wrong platform for it. I did not care for it at all but then take that with the bolder of rock salt that I'm also very much not an AR fan. Even in the pistol I do not see much out of it. Really sucky with follow shots.. As said before though give me a PP-19 (Semi or FA) chambered in it and I'd never look at a MP-5 again or even an AKSU-74.
If money wasnt an issue id say it might be useful in a rifle. What advantage does it give over 5.56 in rifle format to justify spending far more for the ammo? Now if money for ammo wasnt a issue id prefer the 4.6x30mm in sbr and 22 tcm in a pistol.
Iv always heard very low recoil and fast follow up shots for the 5.7 out of a pistol.
