south american pike cichlid is the answer to the snakehead replacement

Yep,pike cichlids,crenicichla are worth looking into if they are allowed there.
I have never really been into them so they weren't on my mind.

Alligator gar! But unfortunately they get just as big as a pima as well so that will not work in this situation.

Hey guys just bought this pike cichlid from big als the other day , they weren’t sure what kind it was, does anyone have any ideas on what kind it is ?

Alligator gar! But unfortunately they get just as big as a pima as well so that will not work in this situation.

I actually have both and both I kept from 9 inches. The arapaima grows, moves and eats a lot faster but yes potential size is similarly huge.
