Everyone who is thinking about getting an Arapaima Fish should think about it for at least 6 months, everything I researched about the fish and growth rate was intimidating but me being a construction worker and building things for 30yrs, I still had my wings clipped, first it was a 40 gallon, 2 months, then a 120 gallon 6 months, 9 months in 500 gallon, 1 .5 yrs 4,000 gallon , now , and planning a 30,000 gallon near future, guy's put your research in , it's not for the fant of heart

The tank has a 24" wide x 5" tall tray going around the outside, plus 2 6" trays on the wall, water pumps up to the top and 90 ft later it drains back into the tank, gravel and boat load of plants, if you subscribe to the channel you will see the full build in my YouTube shorts, I actually don't change water, l add 150 gallon to it every 2 weeks or so, I run a 50 micron filter because I like to get into the tank to interact with my fish
