Now thats what i calll FISHING!!

Looks like a hell of a lot of fun

Thats from www.anglingthailand.com I believe which means that arapaima was caught at bung sam lan lake (sorry if I butchered the spelling) Its a incredible place thats been stocked with lots of non native fish plus it has the huge native siamese giant carp, mekong catfish, and paroon sharks! Some of the introduced species include the arapaima and alligator gar. I should be fortunate enough to get to fish that lake in november 06 sometime hopefully with my dad ~Trent

A few years ago and English big fish angler Jeremy wade who is a writer specialising in travel and natural history. At 16 he was the youngest member of the British Carp Study Group(As a lot of you know thats my thing). In his early twenties, however, he hung up his rods, an antisocial response to overcrowded British lakes. Then in 1982, inspired by a magazine article about fishing for mahseer, he went to India. He has had two series on The Discovery channel the most noted one being his hunt to catch an Arapaima. If you ever get the chance to get this on DVD or see it. it is well worth it. (2002 television series, 'Jungle Hooks)

This is a link to the Discovery Channel site with more info on the man and his fishing
