Arapaima Food Question?

Hello, My Arapaima is about 12 inches now and I cant get him on koi pellets, worms, nothing else but live fish. He will only take live fish. I have tried starving him for a couple of days, everything but he wont except anything else. He will atttack meal/king worms and cricketts, abut only kills them and wont eat them.

Any suggestions on how I could get this guy on koi pellets or any other type of food other then live?

i have one never can get him to eat dry food. i feed my feeder, fillet, worms, beef hearts, smelts, shirmps. u can try feeding him with shirmps first it work for me.

Not a species ive kept but id personnally starve him for a week or so, as they can take it and try him then with some sort of pellted feed or even somthing meaty such as prawns muscle etc...

hmmm. I would have to say starve him too... maybe for longer than u have been. Im just curious what kinda set up u have to keep one of those monsters haha

Get him on shrimp, then freeze dried krill, then pellets...it works

yes, pics please... was out looking at LFS and they have one for about $500... he is already 4ft long at least... will post pics when i get outta work. ;-)
