Arapaima Gigas ¿normal captivity size?

What is the normal and maximum size of a adult arapaima gigas in domestic aquarium?


My aquarium is 3 meters x 1.20 meters x 1.20 meters (and i need know if is posible mantain one arapaima forever lifetime

not near, they can get to over 4 foot mate, which is a minimum of 1.3m but i would say it will get bigger
 
they get about 6ft(183cm) at 2 years old!
 
you most likey wont ever find an actual tank big enough to house one they need thousands and thousands gallons of water for an mature adult
 
Basically, your crazy buying this fish...Unless you can build a 20x40 foot pond then you can't realistically house them.
