I just picked one up today i thinks its the coolest monster fish out there

I was given a tiny one about 8" long in 1983 by someone who was getting rid of her tanks, came with a 150g. When I found out what it was I trade it for some clown loache, 3 pike cichlids, and a 35g show tank.

Before I had my head examined I bought a young arapaima about two years ago. It was about 12'' long and would only eat feeders. It did great for awhile but then I realized I was being completely unrealistic and sold him. It was a cool fish while I had it, though. A few month later I bought a baby about 6'' or so and put it in with a silver arowana the same size. Needless to say they lived in harmony for about 3 days until the arapaima got the crap kicked out of it and went belly up.
