Arapaima gigas Fishing Show

It shows tonight in my area on VS channel the channel that is home to the MMA circuit called the WEC.

The show normally shows on Fridays or late on the weekend, Saturdays and Sundays here in central California.
 
One true River Monster Jeremy Wade so far has not attempted to catch that Larry Dalhberg is a huge fan of is the Giant Wolf fish from South America. I have hear these fish feed on piranhas and are a bit bigger and a bit nastier than Giant Snake heads.

Yeah except the adult wolf fish feed on adult piranha. The adults of the giant wolf fish are said to grow to 40- 50 plus pounds and with their temperament can be a very nasty fish to deal with. I would like to see how Jeremy Wade would approach making this show as he normally makes his shows into Horror and Thrill fishing shows more than just a normal fishing show and this species would be perfect for his format.
 
Other than Arapaima I am a fan of the the episodes of fishing for African Tiger Fish. I have seen pictures of African Tiger Fish from both shows except have not seen either episodes.
 
I can not believe it I was looking for some video of Giant Wolf Fish fishing video on you tube and could not find any to post. Larry Dalhbergs has got some amazing footage and if you can find it check it out.
 
They just showed the rerun of the Arapaima episode on VS tonight and I forgot how entertaining it is. First Larry goes fishing for Electric Eel and catch one only to have his guide to pick up the fish and gets tazed to the point he goes as stiff as a board and falls on his back. Then he goes to a farm pond where he uses a Marlin Rod and harness on a farm pond to catch Arapaima. It is an entertaining episode and if you have not seen it I recommend watch.

Plus Larry says he has seen a 400 pound Arapaima along with the owner of the Arapaima farm saying that he has caught one over 800 pounds.
 
Big fish Larry was in the fishing group when we went to Brazil.Great guy.It was fun listing to his fish stories as we eat dinner at the camp.That river we were on is where I caught the payara in my avatar.I have caught a lot of wolf fishes at night spearfishing.I love fishing in the Amazon.You never know what type of fish you are going to catch.
