Arapaima Gigas question

Hi! Me and my boyfriend have 3 arapaima gigas, they are about 12 centimeters long. We have fed them with "white and red mosquito larva", but they dont grow so much by eating that. I´ve also tried chrimps, salmon fillet and salmon pellets, but they dont like it at all... I heard that frozen sardine would work, but there is just no way to get in hold of that! Any suggestions?

try feeder fish they seem pretty small

when my pima was small i use feeders first it works the best to help them grow. now hes 81 centimeter

Ok thanks. I acually tried that a couple of weeks ago, but they didnt like it at all. Hopefully they do now! Goodluck with your gigas!

have you tried starving them a little before offering the new kind of food?

You should try some sort of pellet as a staple and see if there's anything they'll accept... hikari carnivore/massivore is great. Shrimp, prawn, fish etc make good snacks/sides too.

Does anyone knows if the there's any pellets out there that help bring out the Arapaima's red color?
