that kinda what i thought. i live i minnesota so i'd have to try and keep it warm in sub-zero temps in the winter..could you imagine the electric bill:WHOA: unless i used a boiler system to heat house and ponds:naughty:

Or build an indoor tank similar to John's or Mike's. :naughty:

You can stunt their growth. I have a mate that had two and fed them at two different rates. One is three and a half foot long and the other is sixteen inches long. same age and same size tanks.

Wow.:shakehead

This is the type of responsibility that most of us would never condone. If you cannot accommodate a fish that will outgrow your accommodations, why buy it in the first place?

That is one of the sadest things I've ever seen posted on this site.
im gonna have to agree with you there, stunting fish is not good.

btw zoodiver, i love the work you did with the aquarium display at the mall of america, I liked those two big tanks better than the entire shedd aquarium

I never said it was good. I was just wondering.:duh:
1. Small tank.
2. High nitrate level.
3. Inadequate feeding.
4. Lack of water changes.
5. Inadequate filtration.

That's how most people stunt their fish.:(

heard they dont find those gigas that big anymore in the wild due to it being overfished
