Have you looked into the possibility that these fish might already be bred in some facility down there?...I've read that they have already been bred in Asia for some time now.
I think the doubt is about your pond and particularly your future pond plan. Lots of folks get baby pimas, no reason to doubt that. Pics of the pond?

some countries in south america and south east Asia do breed them, but not in a reliable way, they dont keep up with there numbers so escapes are vary common. the meat from toughs countries is vary rarely sold in the US and when it is its mostly to gourmet restaurants.
tuna, sea bass, and many others are facing over fishing problems so that is why i want to start this fish farm. think how many people 1 90 pound fish filet can feed.
No I'm sure he has every intention of doing what he said. Of coarse that is til reality kicks in. Good luck though maybe it'll work.
Those dimensions will yeild a pond that is a half million gallons. Is there even that much water in NM?
