Here are some pictures of my pond, the pond goes all the way into that "cave" also there's a picture of my biggest oscar and if you notice there's water falling into the pond, which in the last photo you can see it comes from a PVC from an underground river and "old" water goes into the soil/plants, like a drip system

That looks awesome!

I guess the next question is would you be willing to give up everything else in there for an Arapaima?

Also external predators might be an issue... the smaller fish are quick enough to get away from something like a dog, or dog sized animal that gets into the pond. I can see something possibly trying to eat a mid-sized arapaima that has no place to get away to.

Looks like the second photo is of a different pond than the others.Too bad it wasn't built deeper and agreed on any possible local predators, are there any wild cat species or other types of small predators in your area?

Gorgeous pond! If only it were deeper or had a deeper section even. Id go crazy loading it up with cichlids. Dont think an arapima would work well. You would lose your current stock and he eventually would be taller than the pond is deep.

Even the RTC is in danger with the arapaima?
There are a few predators in the area but I'm not sure if any of them could stop by the pond, although I'm by the "jungle".. there are jaguars, tigrillos, morelet crocodile, etc
