We're 22 days down the road. The pond has massively cleaned itself up. Water is pretty much crystal clear, with the Pleco's hard at work, filter established and the fish are all in good health. Very happy with it, as is my housekeeping lady who takes care of the fish.
It's a big improvement from the old pond, time spent on maintenance / cleaning is close to zero. We currently open the drain valves of each filter chamber for about 10 seconds p/day. (one by one). Then the auto top-up takes care of the rest. That's all.
Still need to keep an eye and maybe in the next couple weeks do a full flush of each filter chamber.

I will occasionally check back here of course, but for the time being, not much will be posted.
To make up for that...lol...I'm thinking to start a thread on an Aquaponics system with Koi. I've just started cutting wood this weekend.
