Well, today's move did not go as planned.
Initially all went well, 2 turtles got out, into 1 of 2 trucks.
But going for the arapaima, when they had him in a long net, he wrestled and spit out half a bird.
He'd been fasting for 7 days, but seemingly caught that bird.
Crew leader cancelled the move saying there's a 50/50 chance he won't make it through the move with food in his stomach.

So we're back to square 1, wait another 4-5 days and they'll be back for a second try.
Sorry to hear - but impressive that he managed to get a bird

Back to work this morning. Mr. T is doing his normal rounds..
Those turtles btw really pack some weight. The one in the previous picture is the smaller one.
Below a picture of the bigger one pulled out.
