Not a good day all in all, but hoping the next try will be ok.

Hectic! Not every day do you hear of these things, hope he goes hungry for the next bit and he'll move unscathed

Wow! Ate a bird then wanted a piece of that guy too! Lol
Sorry to hear it didn't go as planned. If only half of the stuff I did went as planned I'd be golden!

Well, today's move did not go as planned.
Initially all went well, 2 turtles got out, into 1 of 2 trucks.
But going for the arapaima, when they had him in a long net, he wrestled and spit out half a bird.
He'd been fasting for 7 days, but seemingly caught that bird.
Crew leader cancelled the move saying there's a 50/50 chance he won't make it through the move with food in his stomach.

So we're back to square 1, wait another 4-5 days and they'll be back for a second try.

Sorry to hear - but impressive that he managed to get a bird

Back to work this morning. Mr. T is doing his normal rounds..
Those turtles btw really pack some weight. The one in the previous picture is the smaller one.

Didn't mention yet that Mr. T drew first blood....
First encounter where K.Bird just grabbed his tail a bit resulted in a very sour thumb and 5 nasty scratches over the back of his hand.

He really set the rules of the game there and then..
