I certainly appreciate your offer, thanks...
For now the temporary pond is ok. Hope to finally transfer next week.
Getting the sides up on Wednesday, then transfer on Saturday...
If you have any large fish you like to rehome, let me know...got a pond to fill.
Coming months will be all about filling that pond....

Hello Squirtle919..thanks for the comment, appreciate it..
Filling up again after getting that nasty corner filled up.
Tomorrow hopefully get the side-nets up and then we can look at moving Mr. T.
Will also connect the skimmer to the pond tomorrow, silicone and liner-cutting...again...

For stocking, no firm ideas yet. Just want to make sure it's established and the bogs are up to speed first. Up to that moment, I'll be filling it with small fish/feeders and see what will survive Mr. T.

Might put some Featherbacks in there and I'm thinking of getting some Gars to grow out.
RTC or hybrid, not 100% sure on it, is at my house, including two "getting nastier everyday" Climbing Perches...
Once the RTC is big enough he'll go in for sure, the Perches might go in bog-area, not sure on that yet.

Aro's? No experience with them, but having the Arapaima at well over 1 meter, it might take quite some time to grow them out and not get spooked by Mr. T.
From what I've read, Aro's don't like bigger pond-mates..but correct me if wrong.

cheers,
Luc

sounds good Luc.

You are most likely correct with arows. I dont keep any. we cant get the nice looking ones here and I find having a whole tank to a jardini annoying. I am sure if you wanted you could find some bigger. price that may be a killing point! I dont think many feeders will last with him hehe. Gars also sound good. If you could get aussie fish over there I would go with a mangrove jack, My monster fish :) but I dont believe you can get them they are like a huge oscar with teeth.

I cant wait to see him in this pond! please take lots of pictures once his in.

As always good luck and keep the great work up!

Hello Squirtle,

Still thinking about Oscars.
The shop in our market has a bunch of 2" of them.
Nice active buggers, but I just wonder if they would not start ripping at the folds in the liner.
As said, still need to do some reading, checking and thinking on it.
Datnoids or Silver Dollars might be too small though very nice.

Friend of mine is promising to bring back what he catches on his fishing-trips.
Will be all kind of local species, of which there are many interesting and colorful ones here.

To be continued for sure...
Luc
