thanks for the info guys but I found him on the bottom of the tank yesterday

Bummed for you. A friend had a 2-3' one that he said it took him a while to get used to because it would burp loudly at night. I never heard it though.

Same thing happend with mine
Are they difficult to keep at 5-6" ????? Found him dead with both eyes missing and half eaten ???? I think after he died my other fishs decided to make a meal out of him.
I don't think it difficult at 5-6". The one I got came in pretty bad comdition .... sorry to hear your lost.....
