I'll Keep moving him up to a bigger tank as he needs it. I'm a little bit nuts. get a hundred dollar deal and spend $10,000 or more making it work. I bought a $10,000 antique race engine and it's taken me about $100,000 to build a car for it. I'm doing that now and i'm not done yet. Fish is just another obsessive compulsive thing. NUTS HUH?

get a 2000 temp tank......... should be ok for about 12 months

then ideally 15000 and up

ours are in a 10000 see the webcam

if you need advice brian can put you in touch with me as well.........

it is a nice looking fish but i really hope he's serious about keeping it... not like is seriously going to keep it but like goin g to keep it serious... building a pond and such...

just be a waste of such a nice fish

a 16'x 3 foot deep circular pool is about 4500 gallons

last resort if you really dont want to spend all that much money and want 2 keep the pima 4 a while and if you have the room in the backyard try an above ground pool set up. my mother-n-law bought 1 for about $800.00 and it holds roughly 2ooo gals. and 4 $1500.00 u can get a 5000 gals.:naughty:

the first ever imported gigas to sweden came at 26th dec 07. They are now at a few difrent pubplic aquarium. All arapaima were like 6-7cm when they came here and i went to see them last weekend. They got 8 in the thingy here in gothenburg and they are now 50cm +/- a few. So a 240g tank will barly last over the weekend

Well dont they grow to 4' in the first year?

Looks good but you need a much bigger tank fast!!!
