i used to have two archers. a word of advice..don't keep two, keep them singularly or in schools, the larger one killed the smaller one but seemed to be fine with the rest of his tank mates which included rainbows and gudgeons.

I have had 2 of these fish now, and are a great addition to a tank. Your LFS can probably get them, but I think it is better to find a store that keeps them in stock. Also ask the LFS to feed one before you get it. Sometimes they are VERY picky eaters. They love fly's.....
