is it possibal to keep a figure eight puffer from becomeing aggresive towards other tank mates i was thinking of adding one to my tank with my 3"archer,3 orange monos,2" silver dat dragon goby and 9"gtile but i thought he would attack the other fish i am going to be adding mangrove root structures made from brown watersafe epoxie would that keep it distracted enough??

I'm aware that it could become very aggressive, I've already decided I'm keeping the puffer if that happens. He's much more personable than the archers.

cuda, I'd be concerned about the F8 being eaten by the archer or dat.

A dat would for sure eat a f8, my 7" indo has eaten fish much larger than a f8 gets.

puffers are poisonous why would they eat it and also it is just a grow out brackish tank i might get a bigger tank for the archer and dat and eel but for the time being would they get along there are also mangrove seedlings he could swim around also to give him something to do

Many fish have been poisoned by trying to eat a puffer. Do a search here & I bet you find dozens of posts on that.

How would the fish know puffers are poisonous?

flashy colors or something like poison dart frogs or something but i used to have a figure eight in my freshwater setup and he was cool but he and my amazon puffer mysteriosly died he wasnt agrresive towards my other fish until the amazon puffer showed up would the figure eight get along with the fish in my tank for a short amount of time until i move the eel, archer and dat to a much bigger tank?

Don't chance it.
