Hey guys i have some archerfish chillin in my 55gal and id like to setup an enclosure specifically catered to them so that they will use their water spitting hunting. Ideally id like to get some rocks/wood/plants that extend beyond the surface of the water so i can put crickets on and also have the environment look natural.

I was wondering if a turtle filter would be good for the water since it will be a lower tide setup with less water and extra room at the top of the tank. If not are there any filters anyone recommends? Hopefully something less than $50.

Any other recommendations about setting up this type of tank are appreciated. Im going for a 55-75gal with about 4-5 Archers and maybe 1-3 miscellaneous fish.

Below are some pictures that will give you an good idea of what im trying to put together.

I know the 206 series will give you 4 inches to work with above the water below the rim, FX6 would push that gap to about 8in per their recommendations. If you found something used that would fit the price range. If your US based I know you can get a killer deal via petsmarts app coupons.
