Archerfish with Arowana?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my silver's would eat it or do a lot of damage trying, but if it had a LARGE headstart then you could probably pull it off.

Here's a video from about a year and a half ago......I currently have just the CK which is about a foot and a half and the Silver which is two feet long or what not and pleco....both 2 years old pleco ?. Anyhow, here the video with the CK,aro, pleco and archer.

so how big was your archer fish when you started introducing the silver? and how long did you have it?
about 5-6 inches it didnt seem to bother the aro....at first it did though......I had it together with the set up for about 6 months....the archer eventually died....I think it was getting to an age it need to become brackish and eventually salt.

don't do it>>>>>> like someone else said they are both top dwellers if you do want to do the mix you would need an extremly huge tank;)

I agree, this was something I did while I was not as educated.;)

Hi I think its a bad idea because first of all they have different water requierments, the second reason is that there is a big size difference between the two.

what sort off aro ? because here in aus the live in the same water in the wild so whoeva said the have different water reqs must be wrong

get a pure FW species.
also, even if the archer is 6 inches and the aro is 3 inches,by the time the aro is 12 inches, the archer would only be about 8 inches or less.
they grow VERY slow from 6 inches, some even stop growing there.
and the archer might pick on the aro at first.
