Archocentrus spinosissimus "Spiney"

Crazy - those, breeding pairs of Sajica, and a breeding group of Guianacara were some of the last fish that I had left in my fishroom moving sale...

I think I ended up selling two pairs of spinosissimus for $25...and the Guinacara for like $10 each...

Fish people are fickle...and often cheap. I don't try to keep up with the "in" fish...just keep what I like!

And now they are one of the hardest to find central americans ... crazy how fish popularity cycles work.

I kept one spinosissimus around 2005, which I picked up from my LFS. Kept it with Spilurums, Firemouths, Rainbows, and Sajica--when I kept mellow fish.

I just really like the look and size. I'm definitely going to be finding these when I complete the DIY projects. I'm going to design the final version of hte project around these and fellow compatible tankmates.
