I said NO but it also depends on what other tankmates you want in there. Yes I'd say larger, tank and volume wise but thats just my preference. My 12+ bgk is in a 4ft x 18" x 18" (approx 40G uk) by himself and i'd prefer a larger tank although he seems more than fine in it for now.

I think for awhile it would be OK in a 55G, but definetly upgrade to a larger tank. No matter if it can survive, we keep fish as a way to experience and enjoy the wild right in our own homes. Why not make it as enjoyable as possible for our fish as well?

i think it would be fine for a few years considering they take soooo long to grow... I had one for a year and it grew 1 inch

can we turn your bedroom into a box that is 4'x2'x2'?

i know i woulndt want to sleep in one that size, so why make your fish live in something that is too small?

How big is the tank that your aros and Pbass are in?

Be sure to practice what you preach.

My BGK is about 2 years old and 14 in. He is in a 72 gal bowfront and I would never consider putting him in anything less - he has room to move around like only Ghosties can....

Considering human beings aren't considered 'monsters' at over 20'', I think that is a terrible analogy. Really, terrible.
