Sweet man just keep a eye on them they usually get the rot in the first 3-4 days on a move.

Post some pics when you can.

I would get some more but i don't have a grow out tank and i now my 3 8" yellows would consume them.

I found out the hard way that to cohab yellows and reds that you have to buy reds that are a inch or 2 bigger then the size of the yellows. Because the yellows grow very fast.

Mine went from 1.5-2" in march to 8" now. And my last red is around 4" and was the same size as the rest.

Hybrid how many do you have in total ?

Just 4
3 8" yellow tails
1 4" maybe red maybe unknown species.

My little guy has a long story behind it. But beween this site and a few others everyone has a different guess on what it actually is. I had 2 like this but 1 was eaten by the big yellows.

I have owned around 16 through out my life.

I was up to 8 at one time. But these guys are very hard for me to keep. And even when they make it past the fragile stage then they have the power to knock lids off your tank and jump out.

not glass canopy homie, thats what you need a strong cover, but i know you know that now;) oh and the best tankmates for them is bichirs IMO

I would get them.

Having seven now gives you a better chance of having 4-5 a year from now.

These fish really need the shoal for overall health.
