I think some info is outdated. Ive read some lists posted in forums, and some species they say is illegal happen to be sold freely in LFSs.

needle nose gars and the ones uaually labeled rocket gars or gar characins arent true gars.

Freshwater rays are illegal in Cali, not the saltwater ones. Also ferrets, sugar gliders and other exotic mammals are illegal.
