Are armatus easy to pellet train?

Mine won't touch them unless I hide the pellets inside a piece of fish or shrimp. It's interesting that he will pick off freeze dried krill from the water surface all day long but totally ignores the pellets.

Stubborn to train period. It is possible, but it wont come overnight. I got my Armatus eating talapia fillets 2 weeks after purchase. Im just now starting to stuff his food with small carnivore pellets with the hopes of him one day eating carnivore sticks along with talapia.

SOOOO Dang hard! Mine would even get close to pellets. It just swims away. The last time i've tried pellets stuffing in a catfish fillet, my armatus stopped eating for 2 months! 0___O

It is def possible. Super patience.

Really lix?....I pack the fish and shrimp with Massivore and he is none the wiser...Sometimes he will snap so hard at the food item the pellets will be knocked right out of it.

That's my only explaination. I ran out of salmon so i started to get catfish fillets. I stuffed them with hikiri pellets. My armatus ate one, and never ate again for 2 months! once, my armatus swallowed a catfish stuffed with pellets and it got a spazz attack.

I used to put carnivors on my salmon but the pellets always fell off.

Sounds like he didn't care for the catfish.

Not NO, but HELL NO! lol
They are a PIA.
