Are aros canibalistic?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
and noone assumed you would, u asked a question and we put it in the simpilist terms for u to understand. but honestly, common sense shoulda popped up on this one.

sometimes size doesn't even matter. 2 aros at 12 inches could sometimes spark up a kill mode and one is doomed to death. sometimes not. sometimes u can have a 2ft aro with a 12 inch aro, some times you can't. as a fish keeper sir, make ur best judgement and remember the life of the fish ur testing with, ly's in your hands

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..and since aros are mouth brooders and even protect their young I just thought there would be a chance they wouldn't be cannibalistic..

thanks all for a question answered.. :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that was my answer..

did I catch you in a bad mood or something, my common sense told me to not try, therefore I asked? now I know, if you have seen my tanks you would probably know I'm not some moron asking if I can keep my aro in a 55 for life.. If I want to know, I ask here and expect not to get an unkind answer, especially since your answer would have been the exact opposite if the question was about dats.. if aros are cannibals or not is not a stupid question, they hunt in packs, they are mouth brooders and none of the others who tried to answer my question put it in a way that it was obvious..

I think its rude and bad for the mood on this board trying to lecture me as if I was a complete idiot..

Theres actually a picture of an aro eating another aro somewhere here on the board...

Who can find it?

I found one thread when I did my search before asking.. something like "MY ARO ATE MY ARO" but that guy left the carcass of a dead (broken back from jumping) aro in the tank for 2 days with another aro and a ck without feeding..
