Are Bichir sensitive to salt?

i add about 1 tbs per 5 gallons.
i drop it directly into the tank.

i always add salt into my tank with 2 bichirs after every water change with no signs of problems.

i have used salt successfully with all types of polys... my endlicheris are in a very mild salted tank with my tiger scats and thriving

o quick add i use marine salt as i have 3- 7 gallon buckets full

I slowly added dissolved salt to the water and so far (after 1 day) everything is fine and normal

just a note for others reading this, one should *always* dissolve salt first before adding into the tank, and don't pour it in the direct path of a fish either.

I've used salt with my ornates and had no problems. I just dump it into the sump and it slowly dissolves and makes its way into the tank.
