Are Black Arrowanas more skittish than Silvers?

Just curious about this because my Silver Arrowana is about 20" and whenever I shut the lights out and go to bed he tries to jump or something and makes some loud noises when he does this and will wake me up when it does this. It is really getting under my skin. Would the Black Arrowanas do this too?

mine silver follows you around the tank, and as long as you dont intentionally spook him he's fine, he's 10" long
