Are can o crickets an ok staple for tree frogs?

I figured i could entice a feeding response by feeding live with tongs then switch to dead crickets IF they were a nutritionally viable option.

I will look into a dubia colony. I hear they dont smell bad like crickets do.

yeah they dont smell much, if at all, they cant climb or churp
 
Dubias are great , easy to care and breed relatively fast.

i had a leopard frog that i eventually got to eating moisted freeze dried tubifex worms and frozen fish etc. once you tame from the frog you can use something small to push the dead animal to trick the frog then it gets easier and easier to the point all you have to do is throw it infront of it.
