Are Cichla Overrated?

Why do people like Cichlas? IMO a very overrated fish.

This is a joke right?!

Cichla are the number one fish to keep and the only fresh water fish that I've kept for over 20 years. Imo they have the widest range of colors. They aren't only just bright, they glow, literally. The problem is that most people have terrible water quality so they never get to see their potential. This is why you see a lot of grey colored bass.

Then you have the size that they grow. You have both medium and large cichla to choose from.

Then you have feeding aggression. They will literally put water on you ceiling and buckets of water on the floor. But again, I've found that you need to feed them properly to see their full potential. You need to have a group of bass and you need to feed them one piece of food at a time.

This is just a few of the main point and without getting crazy into detail.

Saltwater is overrated.

This is wrong. Start a thread in the saltwater section and see what they say.
