Are dovii slow growers?

My first male dovii, which I had in a 125, grew from about 4" to about 11" in the nine months I had him. He got a lot of NLS pellets and FD krill, and a 50% water change once a week.
My current male has grown at about the same rate in the 3.5 months I have had him. He is also in a 125. He gets the same food as my last one, and a 60-70% water change every ten days or so. He's about 8" TL right now.
