Are you sure if i dont feed him feeders that he starve himself?

He wont starve, when he gets hungry enough he will eat.

are your fish shy because i just got him yesterday how long should i give him until he eats

I would give him a few days to settle in first before you get worried.I have had fish not eat for a week when I first got them.As far as being shy they get better with size.Truly a great fish though.Good luck.

Eventually nothing but worth keeping on thier own.My favourite by far.Look up Dovii on you tube and you'll have a better idea what your in for.lol

The one we kept was picky... he liked to chew on the intake of the filter not the return. Also he like glass heaters not Titanium. He would chew your hand not the gravel tube Seriously they will eat almost anything... give him time.

mine was shy 4 the first week'ish but when i put food in they came out if they seen a bot they could get and dashed back under there hide

give them time, and like every1 els says they wont starve them selfs, only calvas cic do that my calvas would eat bloodworm like no other but that was it
