Are EBJD and Festae compatible tank mates?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nope, not at all.

No offense, but if you have to ask that, you should do A LOT more research about the EBJD & festae species in their own right.

There is tons of info on here and all over the internet.

+1!!!!! definitely 100% NOOOOOOOO with other fish of varying aggression levels their may be a chance depending on the individuals but with these there is absolutely no possibility of two adults living together (not even juveniles for that matter)

Not for long........
How large is your tank?
How bout' a standard JD, they can be gorgeous. I along with others actually prefer standard JD over EBJD.

the tank is 125 gallon. but i wont risk it ill do some more research on some compatible tank-mates with my festae. thats mainly the reason i really posted and i got my answer thanks guys... i dont know much about EBJD i just know they look great.

The tank is big enough to house them, but the main concern here is aggression and not size. EBJD are simply not strong enough to co-exist with festae, especially not one of the same size or bigger. If you really want to try it get a baby festae and make sure the EBJD is +4"... the fact that festae grow extremely slow might help you a bit, but mine at 1.5" already attack each other and much bigger fish.

My advice though is to save your money and get a beautiful regular JD instead... cheaper, bigger, stronger and just as good looking.

EBJD are very slow growers as well. If you were, for some reason, going to try it, I'd suggest a 6"+ EBJD (hard to find) and baby festae. Still, it probably won't work.

nope the EBJD is gonna get owned..
