I have read alot of articles on fly fisherman being snobby i know alot of die hard fly fisherman that arent snobby whats your opinion?

define snobby, I will say they are more courteous, but then again other fishermen outnumber them 40 - 1
Pro-bass fisherman and pro-walleye fisherman were more snobby than fly-fisherman (my experiences)...
i fly fish and don't think I am better than others, but just like any group there are always going to be those d-bags who think they are the best at everything
fly fishing takes a very long time and lots of dedication to master, so it humbles you, which may lead fly fishermen to say to themselves their better but outwardly tends to lead them to be courteous and respectful.
Fly fisherman are snobby because they have worked really hard to figure out whatever stretch if water they are fishing and aren't going to give those secrets away to some spin head who will kill the fish he's worked so hard to figure out.

im with gangster, thats a big generalization to make. I have been fishing with a guy recently that fly fished a lot before he moved here and he isnt snobby, as a bass fisherman i will say that many guys who think they are 'pros' are some of the worst people to fish with i have ever encountered.
