are freshwater stingrays really freswater or are they brackish????

sry about these guys... i understand you are knew to this and I would reccomend teacup rays. they are fresh water and very easy to keep. just make sure to have sand in your tank for them to bury. Look up these if you are willing to make the effort. GL

This obviously says how much you know about rays...teacup is not even a species...sand is not mandatory...teacups in general, come half dead most of the time, not easy to keep at all...

Some are brackish, they tend to be triangular shaped and long tailed.

Many different types of brackish water rays, they occur in some parts of indo-china and Borneo... it's easier to describe the look than name all of them.

Depends on the ray i suppose but there is alot of confusion with Dasyatis sabina that people have kept in freshwater but ideally kept in brackish/marine do you know what stingrays they have?

Ive done alot of research and heard that they were brackish and also heard they are freswater and need really clean water, so which is it?

If you have done so much research then you should know what type of ray you are hoping to buy????

There are freshwater, brackish and salt water rays each with there own water requirements!!

If you say freshwater then obviously its as it says 'freshwater'.

You cannot put a salt water into fresh and vise versa!!!

Do some more research into which type of ray you are look to keep and maybe post some pictures and then maybe we can answer your questions as i'm sure most people are here to help.
