Are Goldfish SAFE?

Feeding your pet McDonalds 7 days a week is better then feeder goldfish.

My turtle eats rosy reds an platies... really likes the platies. Nicer looking fish too.

goldfish are incredibly dirty fish and theyre disease ridden. use Rosy reds & shiner minnows. krill can be used for some supplementation.

Rosy reds are as bad as gold fish. Mosquito fish, convicts, tilapia, guppys,etc are the way to go if you have to use life fish like for matamatas. Otherwise human food fish like trout and catfish are probably the easiest.

they are only bad as a main food source. as a treat or occational food they are fine

ask knifegill, i am sure he will be all over this in a min LOL, but they are not a wise choice as food for just about anything.

you should buy some kined of live breeder to feed it that way you will save money

my snapper eats goldies as a treat but also i feed him floating cichlid sticks and floating aquatic reptile sticks, shrimp, lots of stuff. from the research i have done its best (as they already said) to feed convicts, guppys, mollies, etc. stuff easy to breed. but many feeder goldfish tanks are overstocked so greater chance for disease. i was told its better to feed snappers shiners and big head minnows from a bait store. and they are probably cheaper than goldies.
