My LFS has a gaggle of them for like $6/ea.. around 1-2". I was thinking of getting some, but I hear they get a bit aggro when larger, and I have plenty of those types.

go for it indeed

Go ahead and buy some, $6 is a great price just make sure you have a large enough tank because males can get 16"+. They are not aggresive at all, at least mine are not, just keep them with fish their own size and you will be fine. Good luck.

I'm thinking of putting one in a 180g with Red Bay Snooks, Severums, Geo. Surinemensis, and maybe some Rainbow cichlids as well..

I am guessing they would be a bad idea with stingrays.. that is why I am a bit more hesitant, in case I ever want to put a ray in that tank.

I have a male motoro in with my pearsei, they have been in the tank over a year with no problem at all. Go for it.

Be careful of overcrowding. I want to emphasize...they get BIG. With all of the other fish you mentioned, it might get a bit tight.
