Are harlequin lancer catfish aggressive with tank mates?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How’s the growth rate?

honestly only had it a month -

however it’s grown the least out of the 4 cats i got - id imagine the nocturnal scavengers get less food than the prime time lights on eaters -

one of the smaller more aggressive cats has almost doubled vs this guy....

Aw okay I was just curious but it makes sense if he’s a nocturnal scavenger, also the other catfish are also looking for food at night aswell so I’m sure that doesn’t help either

Find lancers generally to be really slow growers taking a number of years (3-5) to get to even half their potential size from small ( 2" ).
I had no idea they took so long, online they said they reach about 12 inches or so, the one I’m receiving is about 4 inches supposedly

Mine were peaceful with tankmates and themselves. At 6" all three have been killed, I assume, by a 2" Asian USD catfish.
