I had a clown knife that was too slow during feeding time, so it never got to eat anything.
So.... I hand-fed him daily. It'd swim up to my hand all the time and blindly bite my fingers thinking I have food.

he hides in a cave a lot and comes out at night most of the time. he is getting less and less shy though, especially once i added fake floating plant and I got rid of a fish that was too aggressive.

try sneaking at night with a really dim flash light...
you'd see heem prolly chasing after smaller fishes or feeders (if u feed him those)
i usually do this to my CKs and RTC just to check if they're behaving "normally" hehe.

yeaa...he hates u..just kiddin pal..CK are nocturnal and they like to hiding especially when daylight..moreover when they small, avoid from other bigger predator(he/she must think u as his primary predator i guess)..so,they need shelter as safe as possible..when they get bigger, they just show off even daylight, they just hunt their prey..don't worry as long he wanna eat..
I agree with mystix, i used to have mine in a tank where the only hiding spot was a pvc pipe, now hes in one with that, a pot, and a bunch of plants he can hide behind. As a result he is less shy then he ever was, and even comes out during the day sometimes.
oh. well he is the biggest fish i have. i have tried sneeking in at night, and i do see him swimming around. is it good to get another CK so he wont be lonely by himself???
