why did you say dont put them in a tank with a rtc?

All they need is a gallon of water, and they will breed. There's no stopping them
If you like them, DO NOT put them in a tank with a RTC!

i never said needed to be seperated but i am definately suggesting it.

it would speed up encourage breeding.

I am very surprised you are asking why you can't put them with your RTC - the RTC will make meals of them very quickly.

yea convicts are easy I have two 3/4 in long in a 10 gallon community tank in my kids room as long as they have a place to hide they lay eggs and babies galore.

U can put convicts in ur toilet and they will breed i havs them iny 55 with a wall i put up not to keep the cons safe to keep all my other fish safe( dats, killin FH, polys, super red severum) fun to watch. Keep the family entertained

Is tempature manditory to encourage breeding? I keep my tank with no heater at about 69-70 degrees should I pop a heater in there and bump it up to mid 80's? Or will they breed at room temp?
