I am going to be nice about this. Why not just give away the Gouramis. Put them up for sale. And get a 50 gallon tank for the Goldfish. Becasue even though their bodies grow to the size of their tanks the Internal organs do not. That leads to Well they literally bust well sort of.

Sorry, but there is no way in hell I would give up one of my pets, I love them too much.

And belive me, if I could get a bigger tank, I really would. My parents won't let me, though.

You do need a seperate tank for hatching and raising fry. If you cant even seperate your goldfish from tropicals (even just for breeding) then what chance do you have of raising fry?

If you dont have the space, why do you want goldfish fry? When I was about 8 years old my parents didnt allow me to get a bigger tank so I decided to learn how to cut glass and make my own. I scrounged glass from anywhere! I joined small pieces to make larger pieces, I made slate bottomed tanks and plastic and wooden tanks and even plastic bag lined boxes. I am sure you will find a way if your keen enough....

Nowadays the internet makes fishkeeping much easier so keep on dreaming and looking!!

If they spawn in the 29, thats great. When they get eaten. Who cares? So long as you know you have a pair of goldfish and or you actually had them spawn. Though you have no chance of rasing fry. Plus it'd be extremely difficult to sell the fry.

I have some suggestions for you:
It's summertime in the northern hemisphere. If you have any sort of yard...Could you aquire some sort of tub/ large pot etc and let the goldfish breed out there?.

As a more permanent solution ( not sure how good it is), would your parents allow you to maybe get one of those large tall vases?...I've seen goldfish kept in those before.

I've noticed you live in CA, I assume then you could keep fish outdoors all year more easily,
