I have fed them to my fish in the past with no problems at all. Just rinse the dirt off, cut them up if neccessary and chuck them in. Some gutload. But I only feed them occasssionally as a treat.
How do you gut load them.

I feed the red wigglers until they are big enough to eat the night crawlers. Never had any problems and they loved them. I was thinking of doing a worm farm cause I like to raise my own live food. And all the sources said do red wigglers because they are such prolific breeders and night crawlers are very slow comparatively. I'm not saying your wrong, but point point towards some more info. If you're right I want to stop.

I've got a worm bin for composting and regularly feed my fish red wigglers from the bin. They LOVE them, and I've never had any problems.

I'd like to see where you're getting your info about them being noxious.

I use red wigglers too. They're smaller and less heat sensitive than earthworms.

I use both (whole and cut up depending on size) to condition cichlids as well as help them recover from breeding.

For big "haps" like venutus, fusco, livingstoni, etc, they're awesome

I feed them to my Oscars a couple times a week. I get them at WalMart in the fishing section (there's a little refrigerator back there). Oddly enough my other Cichlids won't eat them.

I use nightcrawlers and red wigglers, fish love them.I usually feed peas or other veggies the next day to guard against constipation, just to be on the safe side.

i use nightcrawlers as a big part of my catfish and knifefish diet, IMO it's a better food than going the route of beefheart for carnivorous fish. great food for larger fish, and they love them (why do you think they are bait when fishing). i do inject them with vita-chem, once a week, to help with deficiencies thou
