are oddball loaches becoming less oddball?

well i just bought a batch from TFDfish.

25 CL and i can only counted maybe 3 fishes with the "normal stripe" pattern

the rest are "oddball" and i have two CL with four stripes

I have been seeing alot of addballs in the last few months. almost every store around here that is not a chain store has them.

Hmm, good point/ question. I agree, yes. I do remember seeing one once that had a perfect yin yang symbol on both sides of its body. Now that, I regret passing up on.

i have some nice oddballs, but i wished i got some with spots.

I've been looking for a 4-stripe forever! There's no good oddballs around my area right now! How big are they?

they are only 1.5''

they are still skittish, so its a bit hard to get pics right now

hehe, i just picked up 2.. 1 has no stripe but it look like shamu and the other one has a dot =).. i only got 1 pic of it =).

Perhaps one day the normal regular ones will be the oddballs....

A lot down under also have irregular patterning but also seem to have bad body shape as well. To me it looks like they have been breeding them in Indo and not raising them on very good food.
