are oddball loaches becoming less oddball?

Perhaps one day the normal regular ones will be the oddballs....

Definitely been seeing more and more around. Especially ones with spots, saddle backs, and 4 strips. I'll never forget the double tail CL I saw. I should've picked it up...a true oddball, lol.

i have a feeling that in asia they are breeding them and "messing" them up . ive seen baby clown loaches getting longer n longer. and ive seen clown loaches with only one stripe down near the gill... i have like 16 loaches rite now. and in there i have like 3 oddballs.

One thing I don't like, is they seem to be inbred. The snouts on alot of these fish are deformed...very short and curved. Clowns I've had in the past and currently have, have never had faces that look like that.

I had never seen that may oddballs in my area till last weekend when I went to my lfs and they have around 20 four-banded clown loaches.

I bought 5 of them, but the amount in that tank was ridiculous. I'm sure they must be being bred to get that many in.

I was at my lfs last night and all of their cl's they had in were odd ball I picked up the best 3

I'm torn. On one hand, I'm glad, because this will drive the price down on CLs. But I don't think it's worth it if the majority of them coming in are inbred / deformed.
