ARE PEAS GOOD FOR MY AFRICANS?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It may be good for them but getting them to eat it is another matter. And since we are talking rift lake here I say your better off feeding them something like New Life Spectrom and foods of this nature.

Good luck

My africans love them even the Pisicvores eat them. I feed them frozen peas minus the skins, you get the skins off by running them under water for a few seconds and then squeeze them out of the skins with your fingers. Try it your fish will like them. Only frozen peas that are thawed out and also minus their skins. They will make little pigs of themselves beleive me!

i feed mine peas, the frozen kind. i thaw them, as i put them in i deshell them and squash them in my fingers. i put in about 30 peas for 20 medium sized mbuna and with in 30mins they are all gone.

if yours dont want peas try going to a chinese shop and buying the unsalted seaweed sheets. my cichlids as well as my silver dollars and tinfoils go ape for it, and its cheap.

Thanks for asking this question. Great to know they should eat something simple like peas. :naughty: :woot: :clap :clap :headbang2

I've always heard that they were good for them.

Had some left over cooked peas and fed them this morning to my fish. Went crazy over them. Great substitute for Malawi's and Tanganyikan's. Thanks again for this information. :naughty: :woot: :clap :headbang2

I have an oscar and african cichlids, in seperate tanks of course, would I be able to feed my african cichlids the food I feed my Oscar, which is a beef heart meal?
